The Hull International Pupil Council (IPC) met yesterday at Priory Primary School to look at SDG 15: Life on Land. In particular, pupils from schools across the city explored the range of food products that are grown in the UK and Sierra Leone and which others we need to import. This led us into discussions about Staple Crops, such as rice in Sierra Leone plus how climate change and natural disasters need to be tackled to help countries avoid food shortages. We also spoke about food wastage.
The Freetown IPC was due to meet at the some time in Sierra Leone, but their meeting has had to be delayed until next week.
