International Pupil Council & Global Work

Thrive - Hull-Freetown

As a trust, we are committed to giving our communities a strong global perspective. In 2010, and in conjunction with a colleague in Freetown, Sierra Leone, our Pupil Engagement Development Lead,  Paul Browning, established the Hull-Freetown International Pupil Council. Young people in both Hull & Freetown, representing international school partnerships formed across the two cities, regularly meet and undertake global work. The IPC is a vibrant undertaking which encompasses all of our Thrive Schools and links with other schools and trusts across Hull. Key to our work are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and these provide a focus for our work.
